T.J. Davies Company, Inc., Two Generations of Quality and Excellence
Chagrin Falls, Ohio – T.J. Davies Company, Inc. continues to provide quality products and excellent service as a new generation takes over the controls.
T.J. Davies Company, Inc. was founded in 1965 by United States Navy veteran, Thomas Jared Davies. In August of 2018, Tom passed away, leaving the business to the next generation. Under the leadership of Tom’s daughter, Sherry Davies, the company maintains its values, mission, and vision while adding innovation and increasing involvement in the community.
After returning home from his service in the United States Navy and learning the manufacturing trade at Swagelok Company, Tom started his own manufacturing company with the support of his parents and his former boss, Fred A. Lennon. T.J. Davies Company, Inc. began as a “job shop”, making a variety of products for one customer at a time. About 45 years ago, the company introduced their signature product, high-quality retention knobs produced on lathes. Upon Tom’s passing, the business was transferred to his daughter, Sherry Davies, who has worked hard to maintain the quality and excellence exemplified under her father’s leadership. Sherry has embraced innovation through introducing the company’s first new product in 45 years, sockets designed exclusively to extend the life span of their retention knobs and tool holders. She is also making a difference in the larger community by encouraging volunteering and charitable giving. Sherry’s most recent community efforts include obtaining an Ohio grant to manufacture personal protective equipment (PPE) to aid in the state’s efforts in the fight against COVID-19. Sherry Davies is proud to lead T.J. Davies Company, Inc. into the future, and to carry on the tradition of world-class products and exceptional customer service established by her father and company founder, Thomas Jared Davies.
