CA Prop 65

California Proposition 65

Proposition 65, the Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act of 1986, was enacted as a ballot initiative in November 1986. Its authors intended to protect California citizens and the State's drinking water sources from chemicals known to cause cancer, birth defects, or other reproductive harm and to inform citizens about exposure to such chemicals. Warning: Products may contain one or more chemicals known to the State of California to cause cancer, birth defects, or reproductive harm.

California law requires businesses to provide a clear and reasonable warning to customers purchasing products in the State of California before knowingly or intentionally exposing a person to a listed chemical.

This warning is required when a business is aware of or believes one or more chemicals are present in its products. T.J. Davies Company, Inc. is, therefore, providing this warning because these chemicals may be present in our products. The warning is provided within the installation guide for all products that we sell and manufacture.

We are committed to providing quality products to our customers while advising that our products may contain chemicals or materials identified by the State of California and are on the official list. Exposure levels are influenced by many factors, including the intended use or application of the product, and there is a potential risk of exposure to substances, including nickel and chromium, which are known to the State of California to cause cancer, birth defects, or reproductive harm.
